Connie Sue Hedrick Miller, 70, a resident of Valley Bend, passed from this life Sunday, Dec. 29, 2024, at home surrounded by family and under the care of Mountain Hospice following a courageous battle with cancer.
Connie was born Thursday, Nov. 18, 1954, in Elkins, a daughter of the late Shellace Hedrick and Geraldine Gay Leary Haddix.
On Nov. 20, 1970, she married Jerry Richard Miller, who survives at home. They had celebrated 54 years of marriage.
Also left to cherish her memory is one son, Richie Miller and wife, Melissa; five grandchildren, Lindsey Arbogast and husband, Craig, Sheria Andrews, Bub Andrews, Sean and Josh Kerns; great-grandchildren, CJ, Reagan, and Leah Arbogast, LJ Wiseman, Dallas Wiseman, and Dutton Andrews; four siblings, Marietta, Sandy, Charlotte, and Shellace Jr.; her aunt, Polly Isenhart; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Connie in death besides her parents was one daughter, Pamela “Pam” Sue Miller Andrews.
Connie attended the schools of Randolph County. She had been employed at Spanky’s, Long John Silvers, and as a hostess at High Life Lounge. She enjoyed camping in her younger years, four wheeling, cookouts, bonfires and playing cards.
Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home Thursday, Jan. 2, 2024, from 11 a.m. until noon, the funeral hour. Rev. Frank Hinzman will officiate, and interment will follow in Mountain State Memorial Gardens in Gilman.
