David Brian Knott, 67, a resident of Elkins, West Virginia, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024.
He is survived by his loving wife, Debra, and children, Rachel (and husband, Wayne) Pozzar of Milton, Massachusettes, and David Knott II (and wife, Karen Richardson) of Boston, Massachusttes.
Also surviving are his stepchildren, Andrew, Chelsea, Benjamin and Jessie Thompson; sister, Irene Knott; and grandchildren, Elodie, Adele and Bryce.
He was predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Gladys (Hinchliffe) Knott.
David attended Canton High School in Canton, Massachusttes, and built his career in the offset printing industry. He married his wife, Debra, in Alabama, where they lived before they retired to the mountains of West Virginia with their beloved dog, Biggles.
In his retirement, David completed pastoral studies at The Log College and Seminary.
Throughout his life, David was committed to supporting his family and he instilled in his children the value of education and hard work. He was equally a fan of the Boston Bruins and the theological treatises of John Calvin. He had a razor-sharp wit and was a skilled storyteller. Most of all, he was a devoted husband to Debra and treasured the life they built together.
Services will be private.
