Dessie Marie Leary Scott Wilson, 74, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024, at Nella's at Autumn Lake Healthcare in Elkins.
Dessie was born on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 1950, in Clarksburg, a daughter of the late Delbert Leary and Bessie Ramsey Leary.
She was married to Paul Stanton Scott, who preceded her in death.
Left to cherish Dessie's memory are five children, Michael Scott and companion, Danielle Cassidy, Sherry White and husband, Terry, Timothy Scott and wife, Victoria, Loretta Mallow and husband, Dewayne, and Robert Scott and wife, Amanda; two sisters, Sylvia and Bessie; one stepsister, Patty; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Preceding Dessie in death besides her husband and parents was one son, Paul Scott Jr.; five brothers, Rob, Lee, Jerry, Donnie and Jimmy; two sisters, Betty and Karen "Sue"; a grandson, Devan Scott; and one great--grandchild, Aikeem Scott.
Dessie attended the schools of Randolph County and was a homemaker. She was a homebody that enjoyed being at home and spending time with her grandchildren.
Dessie's request for cremation will be honored with a private family celebration of life at a later date.
