Edward L. Cain, 83, a resident of Elkins, passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, 2024, at the Davis Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 20, 1941, at Fairmont, a son of the late Luther Lee Cain and Kathleen Moran Cain.
On Nov. 24, 1961, at Chicago, Illinois, he was married to Susan Henry, who preceded him in death April 14, 2019.
He is survived by one son, Mark L. Cain and wife, Suzanne, of Elkins; one daughter, Katherine Cain of Summersville, West Virginia; and one grandson, Jared Cain of Elkins.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Captain James Cain.
Ed was a high school graduate and had obtained the rank of Eagle Scout. He had retired from Mon Power Company, where he had worked as an electrical powerline designer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf and meeting for breakfast monthly with the Mon Power retired employees.
He was a methodist by faith and had attended the Grace Episcopal Church of Elkins.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.
On Friday, Dec. 13, 2024, at 2 p.m., a graveside service will be held at the Clermont Cemetery, 1028 Fairfax Street, Fairmont, WV 26554.
Pastor Angela Wilson will officiate and interment will follow.
The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Edward Lee Cain.
