Juanita ‘Ruth’ Flanagan

FLANAGAN

Juanita “Ruth” Flanagan, 77, of Dryfork, passed away on Dec. 22, 2024, at Autumn Lake Healthcare in Crystal Springs.

Born on April 9, 1947, in Dryfork, she was the daughter of the late Denzil and Pauline (Mowery) Flanagan.

Ruth attended Dryfork Elementary School and was a faithful member of Riverside Mennonite Church while she lived in Dryfork. Ruth was known for her love of singing hymns and her dedication to her faith. She helped her Aunt Zettie care for her grandchildren, showcasing her nurturing side. Her love extended to her pets, with a special affection for her cats and birds. Ruth leaves behind a legacy of kindness, warmth and generosity.

She is survived by her three siblings, Shirley Mick of Parsons, James White of Thomas and Dwight “Gus” Pritt of Mannington; along with her beloved cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her aunts whom cared for her, Strawdie Huffman, Zettie Wolford and Martha Yager.

Friends will be received on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2024, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Dryfork Assembly of God Church.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., from the church, with Pastor Jerry Sebastian officiating.

Interment will follow in the Flanagan Memorial Cemetery.
