Pattie Joan Hamrick Salisbury

SALISBURY

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Pattie Joan Salisbury, a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother, who passed away at her residence in Monterville on Dec. 22, 2024, at the age of 63, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Sunday, May 21, 1961, at Elkins, West Virginia, a daughter of Glenn Earnest Hamrick of Monterville and the late Judy Lane Jones Hamrick. On March 11, 1978, she was married to Frank Wilson Salisbury Jr., who survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Sarah Jane Salisbury of Monterville, who was born on her mother's birthday; one granddaughter, Destiny Dawn See and husband, Allen, of Elkwater; one sister, Penny Lane Arbogast and husband, Estil, of Monterville; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death is one son, Tommy James Salisbury.

She attended the schools of Tygarts Valley High School, was employed for 20 years in the housekeeping department at Snowshoe and recently retired two years ago from her own cleaning business.

She attended the Kynette Church at Norton, West Virginia, and the Mingo Presbyterian Church at Mingo, West Virginia.

Her hobbies included camping, attending to her gardens and spending time with her two dogs, Shortie and Jack. She loved all animals.

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 4 to 6p.m., Friday, Dec. 27, 2024.

Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home, Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024, at 10 a.m. Pastor Johnny W. Welch will officiate and interment will follow at the Swecker Cemetery at Brady Gate, West Virginia.
