Randall Dale Crihfield

CRIHFIELD

Mr. Randall Dale Crihfield, 73, a resident of Belington, departed this life early Thursday morning, Dec. 12, 2024, in the Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown.

He was born Oct. 27, 1951, at Belington, a son of the late Samuel Clinton and Edna Maudaline Ware Crihfield.

On June 30, 1973, at Belington, he was united in marriage to the former Sheilah Joan Price, who survives at their home.

Left to cherish his memory are three children, Twila Joan Crihfield Morgan of Belington, Derek Randall Crihfield and wife, Kristy, of Buckhannon, and Anika Lynae Crihfield of Belington; and three grandchildren, Alyssa "Aiden" Rae Morgan, Leah Nicole Crihfield and Haylea Jean Crihfield.

Additional survivors include two brothers-in-law, Emerson Rowlands of Ohio and Goff "Buzzy" Allen of Clarksburg; and lifetime friends, Nadine and Nell Corley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Clinton Dale Crihfield; a nephew, that he thought of as a son, Scott Crihfield; and six siblings, Leon McCauley, Kenneth McCauley, Violet Athalea McCauley Rowlands, Glenna Jean Crihfield Corley, Carolyn Emily Crihfield Allen and Ronnie Lee Crihfield.

He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Randall attended the schools of Barbour County and worked in coal mining for 40 years, lastly working at Consol - Robinson Run Mines as an electrician. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America and was a great supporter of the Animal Friends of Barbour County. He was a very devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather, always putting everyone else first. When his children were younger, he enjoyed coaching the sports teams that they were a part of. He loved wood working and was a jack of all trades. He was an avid hunter and golfer and loved his feline companions, especially his special needs buddy, Cucumber. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Randall's request for cremation will be honored.

There are no services scheduled at this time.
