Mr. Randall Lee Hill, 60, a resident of Elkins, formerly of Barbour County, departed this life Saturday afternoon, Dec. 14, 2024, in the Davis Medical Center at Elkins. Death was following a short illness.
He was born May 30, 1964, at Philippi, a son of the late Raymond Gordon Hill Sr. and Georgia Eva Rider, who survives in Clarksburg.
On March 10, 1984, at Buckhannon, he was united in marriage to the former Michelle Renee Knicely, who survives at their home in Elkins.
Left to cherish his memory are two children, Brianna Josalynn Hill and companion, Travis Howell, of Elkins, and Lydia Raye Hill of Elkins; two brothers, Raymond Hill Jr. and Kevin Hill and wife, Tammy, all of Belington; a sister, Kim Lambert of Philippi; two grandchildren, Rilan Lee Hill and Emberlee Blair Howell; his good friends, Leonard "Beaver" Stewart and companion, Tonya, and Kenny Spencer.
Additional survivors include niece, Devon High and husband, Dr. Steven High; nephews, Christopher Haller and wife, Mindy, Michael Hill and wife, Heather, and Shannon Lamb and husband, Jordan; great-niece, Kelsie Hill; great-nephews, Logan Wiseman and Dylan Wiseman; his uncle, Larry Hill of Belington; father-in-law, Larry Knicely and wife, Bonnie, of Elkins; and mother-in-law, Sharon Rockwell, and husband, Richard "Dick", of Elkins.
His K-9 companions (the boys), Ruger and Benny also survive.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by uncle and aunt, Carl and Sandy Hill; aunt, Linda Hill; and cousin, Stacie Triplett.
Randall was a graduate from the Philip Barbour High School with the class of 1982. He was currently employed with Rustiques Log Homes as a carpenter and he was known for being a superior carpenter and was considered to be one of the best. He was an avid hunter and loved dogs. Randall was known for his lively personality and as the "king of insults."
He loved his family very much and he especially enjoyed spending time with his best buddy and grandson, Rilan. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Randall's request for cremation will be honored.
Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home, 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington, on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, from 1-3 p.m., where a time of sharing and reflection will be conducted from the funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Randolph County Humane Society 195 Weese Street Elkins, WV 26241.
