Robert C. Drinko, 76, of Canaan Valley, West Virginia, and formerly of St. Marys, passed away Dec. 9, 2024, at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 30, 1948, the son of Robert E and Dorothy Haddox Drinko both of whom preceded him in death.
Bob retired from Union Carbide/Witco in 2001 and moved to Canaan Valley where he operated an excavation business until his death. He enjoyed the ocean very much and for several years owned a home in Oak Island, North Carolina.
Robert is survived by his life partner, Jennifer Neelen; his daughters, Yvette Kiggans (Bill) and Joette Fetty (David); and his son, Robert J Drinko (Barbie).
He is survived by grandchildren, Adrean Kelly, Derek Barnhart, Sara Fetty, Lara Fetty, Brody Drinko and Kelsey Allender.
Bob is also survived by Jennifer's daughter, Anne McKnight (John); and her grandchildren, Adam, Lily and Emme McKnight; his sister, Annette White of Columbus, Ohio; and his Aunt Jeanne Drinko of Virginia Beach, Virginia; as well as eight great-grandchildren and several cousins.
Bob's request for cremation was honored.
Visitation will be held at Ingram Funeral Home in St. Marys, West Virginia, on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. A Gathering of Friends will be held in Canaan Valley at Canaan Valley State Park on Saturday, Jan. 4.
