Ronald Joseph "Ronnie" Wotring, 73, a resident of Nestorville, West Virginia, departed this life Saturday morning, Dec. 14, 2024, at the Mountain Living Community at Belington, West Virginia, with his loving family at his side. He had been in declining health.
He was born Thursday, March 15, 1951, at Eglon, West Virginia, a son of the late Willard Carl and Wanda Marie Davis Wotring.
He had never married.
Surviving are one brother, Willard Jackson "Jack" Wotring of Philippi, West Virginia; one nephew, Sherwood Lynn Wotring and wife, Alma, of Clarksburg; one great-nephew, Franklyn Lynn Wotring and wife, Joshelyn; one great- niece, Crystal Marie Wotring; and one great-great-niece, Lydia Wotring.
He was a graduate of Philip Barbour High School with the class of 1969. He worked in construction for forty years as a labor haul and was a member of the ALFCIO Labor Union 984. He was a Methodist by faith. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting. Ronald, along with his brother, were dedicated caregivers to their parents.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons, West Virginia, on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Final rites will be conducted from the funeral home on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2024, at 11 a.m.
Pastor Donna Bolinger will officiate and interment will follow at the Bonnifield Cemetery at St. George, West Virginia.
