Mrs. Sheila Kay Richards Delauder, 56, a resident of Belington, departed this life Monday afternoon, Dec. 2, 2024, in the Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown. Death was following a period of declining health.
She was born Sept. 26, 1968, at Clarksburg, West Virginia, a daughter of Paul F. Richards Sr., who survives at Pleasure Valley, and the late Kathleen P. "Katy" Richards.
On Aug. 26, 1984, she was united in marriage to James Mitchell "Jim" Delauder, who survives at their home in Belington.
In addition to her father and husband, she is survived by two sons, James Lee Delauder and Joseph Michael Delauder, both of Ohio; and two grandchildren, Isabella and Logan.
Additional survivors include one brother, Paul "Bud" Richards Jr. and wife, Sue, of Pleasure Valley.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Cheryl Singleton, Rhonda Summers and Kathy Bryan.
Sheila was a graduate from the Philip Barbour High School with the class of 1985 and was Baptist by faith. She was a homemaker and a loving wife and mother. She loved horses and her K-9 companions and she loved her family very much. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends will be received from the Talbott Funeral Home, 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington, on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Per Sheila's request cremation will then be honored.
