Yvonne J. Smith, 85, a resident of Elkins, passed away Friday, Nov. 29, 2024 in the Elkins Rehabilitation & Care Center.
She was born Oct. 31, 1939, in Elkins, a daughter of the late Jim and Freida Lewis. She was formerly married to Warren Smith.
Surviving is one son, Demanuel Smith of Beverly; one daughter, Kristen Y. Shreckhise of Fisherville, Virginia; one brother, Cameron Lewis of Elkins; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Yvonne attended the schools of Randolph County and was a graduate of Davis & Elkins College.
Yvonne was employed for many years at Davis Trust Company in Elkins prior to her retirement.
Family and friends will gather from 11 a.m. until noon Monday, Dec. 9, 2024, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. Yvonne will then be moved to the Beverly Cemetery where interment will follow.
