Betty Bright McCourt
MCCOURT
On Jan. 7, 2025, the Irons Chapel Heavenly Choir welcomed their pianist, Betty Bright McCourt, 96, of Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Betty was born on Sept. 25, 1928, in Parsons, West Virginia, to the late Henry Robert and Eva Belt Bright.
On May 29, 1948, she was married to Allen “Bud” McCourt, who preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death was one sister, Eula M. Cross; and two brothers, Henry R. Bright Jr. and Harold G. Bright.
Surviving is her daughter, Cindi Sines (Mike) of Rock Hill, South Carolina; grandsons, Scott Sines, Todd Sines and Tyler Sines (Nora); great-grandkids, Charles Sines, Cady Sines and Odin Sines. Cady and Odin brought so much joy to her life. She truly loved her family, and will be missed by each of us.
Betty was also survived by a sister in-law, Ruth Bright; and many nieces and nephews.
Betty loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a member of the Fort Mill Church of God. She loved being the church pianist at the Irons Chapel Church. She was also the youth group leader for many years. She graduated from Parsons High School in 1946. Betty was the office manager at the Kingsford Charcoal plant from which she retired, and then worked for Wykoff Color company.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
