John Michael ‘Mike’ Fletcher
FLETCHER
John Michael “Mike” Fletcher, 90, a resident of Kerens, West Virginia, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025, in the Davis Medical Center.
He was born May 8, 1934, at Lakeland, Florida, a son of the late Robert L. Fletcher and Estelle Lovett Fletcher.
He is survived by one son, Garon Michael Fletcher of Panama City, Florida; four daughters, Christie L. Kepner and husband, Brent, of Elkins, Debra Jean Marden of Sebring, Florida, Leslie Ann Fletcher of Mexico and Melanie Kaye Curry of Chattaroy, West Virginia.
Nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert L. Fletcher; and two sisters, Mildred Parker and Martha Ward.
Mike received an Associates Degree in Airplane Mechanics and Engineering. He was a Corporate Pilot for a Steel Mill in Ashland, Kentucky, for 30 years, prior to his retirement. He was an Amateur Radio Operator KE4VAZ, a Colonel with Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, National Ski Patroller, Licensed Commercial Pilot certified in many types of jet aircraft and a certified Flight Instructor.
Mike’s request for cremation will be honored.
