Rosalie Davis Kerns
Rosalie Davis Kerns, 80, a resident of Harman, West Virginia, departed this life Friday morning, Jan. 10, 2025, at Cortland Acres at Thomas, West Virginia.
She was born Saturday, Nov. 25, 1944, at Whitmer, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Harry Dermit Davis and Hazel Virginia Thompson Davis. On June 14, 1969, at Whitmer, West Virginia, she was married to Kenneth Dale Kerns, who preceded her in death, July 19, 1999.
Surviving are one daughter, Melissa Ann Kerns of Harman; one granddaughter, Caitlyn Nicole Kerns of Harman; one brother, Lonnie Ray Davis and wife, Shirley, of Akron, Ohio; three sisters, Shelva Jean Arbogast Elkins, Juanita Oppihle and husband, Don, of Clinton, Ohio, and Connie Faye Morris of Ohio.
Preceding her in death are three brothers, Paul Edward Davis, Billy Osten Davis and Jackie Shellis Davis; and one sister, Wilma Marie Kerns.
She attended Whitmer Grade School and Harman High School. She was a former employee of the Perdue Chicken Plant, was a cook for Canaan Valley Resort and worked for Land of Canaan as a housekeeper. She enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the funeral hour.
The Rev. Todd Rhodes will officiate and cremation will follow.
