Steven Jesse Lambert

LAMBERT

Steven Jesse Lambert, 67, a resident of Montrose, passed away Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family and under the care of West Virginia University Hospice.

He was born June 25, 1957, at Elkins, a son of the late Viven J. and Hazel Lambert.

He was married to Debbie Lambert, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his loving companion, Sue Weaver of Montrose; one daughter, Margaret Cramer and husband, Sam, of Oak Creek, Wisconsin; one brother, Bryan Lambert and wife, Carla, of Elkins; and one sister, Donna Teter and husband, Emmett, of Chenoweth Creek.

One granddaughter, Natalie Swanson; two nieces, Lorrie Teter and Madelyn Lambert; one nephew, Jeremy Teter; and several great nieces and nephews also survive.

Steve attended the schools of Randolph County and had worked as a logger for 18 years prior to becoming disabled. Steve never met a stranger and was always willing to help others. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a collector of numerous guns, pistols and fishing poles. He was the caretaker at Coveys Acres Campground at Bowden for many years. He attended the New Covenant Church of Junior, West Virginia.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, at the Lambert Cemetery No. 1 at Wymer, West Virginia.

Pastor John Elbert will officiate and interment will follow.

The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Steven Jesse Lambert.
