Barbara Jo Blake

Barbara Jo Blake, 60, a resident of Kerens, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025, at the Davis Medical Center.
She was born May 1, 1964, at Philippi, West Virginia, a daughter of the late William Taylor and Glenna Moore Taylor.
On Aug. 22, 1983, in Philippi, she was married to Charles Blake, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, James Blake, and wife, Courtney, of Elkins; two brothers, Robert Taylor and Charles Taylor, both of Virginia; two sisters, Mary Taylor of Elkins and Rachel Croston of Galloway, West Virginia; four grandchildren, Rae-Leigh Blake, Abigail Taylor, T.J. Taylor and Levi Koch.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Rebecca Evix; and one brother, Jessie Taylor.
Barbara worked as a clerk at the Elkins Speedway and the Shop ‘n’ Save at Belington prior to becoming disabled. She enjoyed playing cards, board games, working puzzles and swinging on her porch during the warm weather months.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Sunday, March 30, 2025, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, March 31, from the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Tim Edin officiating.
Entombment will follow at Mountain State Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
