Colin Glen ‘Coke’ Sutton
Colin Glen “Coke” Sutton, 81, a resident of Montrose, passed from this life Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Nella’s at Autumn Lake in Elkins.
Colin was born on Saturday, Feb. 5, 1944, in Elkins, a son of the late Burnell Lance Sutton and Mae Elizabeth Lafayette Sutton.
He had never married.
Left to cherish his memory are three brothers, John Sutton and wife, Janet, Dixie Sutton and wife, Barbara, all of Mill Creek, and Randall Sutton and wife, Minerva, of Chesapeake, Virginia; several nieces, nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; and two cousins that he considered close, special friends, John and Steve Tuzzo.
Preceding him in death besides his parents were two brothers, Larry Allen and Duane Burnell Sutton.
Colin was a 1962 graduate of Tygarts Valley High School. He had been employed in housekeeping at Snowshoe Resort. He was an avid outdoorsman.
Colin considered himself a master ginsenger and recently stated that he didn’t know many other eighty-year-olds that were still out harvesting ginseng.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 10 a.m. until noon. Interment will follow in Brick Church Cemetery in Huttonsville.
