Madeline J. Heater

She was born April 27, 1937, in Lewis County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late William and Minnie Butcher. On July 24, 1960, she married Rev. Jerry D. Heater, who preceded her in death on July 18, 2015.

She is survived by three daughters and their spouses, Connie Heater LaFontaine, Alicia and Kenny Willett and Glenda and Herb Eckes.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Patricia Heater; her daughter, Charlotte Harris; her son-in-law, Brian LaFontaine; and several brothers and sisters.

Surviving immediate family includes three grandsons, Josh and Zeke Willett and Jason Daughtery; three granddaughters, Sarah Bennett and Courtney and Casey Eckes; and a brother, Charles Butcher. Madeline also leaves behind several great-grandchildren.

Madeline devoted her life to her Savior, husband, children and grandchildren. Her love and dedication to her family was unsurpassed. She was steadfast in her faith and commitment to Christ, and she attended the Way of Holiness Church in Buckhannon.

A private funeral for immediate family was held, with Pastor Jerry Murrell officiating. Burial followed in the Hampton Cemetery in Hampton, West Virginia.

Poling St. Clair Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
