Robert ‘Bob’ Eugene Flanagan Jr.

Bob was born Tuesday, June 13, 1944, in Valley Head, a son of the late Robert Eugene Flanagan, Sr. and Ruby Mays Flanagan.

Left to cherish his memory are two grandchildren, Joshua Thomas Flanagan II and Noah Thomas Flanagan; one brother, Benjamin “Ben” Flanagan of Huttonsville; Glenna “Dawn” Cassidy whom he considered a daughter; and his loving partner of 36 years, Pamlin “Pam” Childs, who survives at their home in Hedgesville,

Preceding him in death besides his parents was his only child, Joshua Thomas Flanagan; and two siblings, William “Bill” Flanagan and Tressia McGuire.

Bob was a 1963 graduate of Tygarts Valley High School. At the age of 21, he was drafted by the United States Army. Bob actively served in the Vietnam war and is a purple heart recipient. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and wildlife. Bob was a good-hearted person and will be missed by all who knew him.

A graveside service will be held in Valley Head Cemetery Friday, March 28, 2025, at 11 a.m.
