David Alan Auvil
AUVIL
David Alan Auvil, 48, a resident of Parsons, West Virginia, departed this life Friday, April 25, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family and under the care of WV Caring.
He was born Thursday, July 29, 1976, at Philippi, West Virginia, a son of the late Edward Lynn Auvil and Beth Bartlett Long, who survive at Holly Meadows.
On June 13, 2009, at St. George, West Virginia, he was married to the former Tiffany Marie Curran, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Finnegan Doc Auvil, at home; one brother, Bruce Auvil and wife, Becky, of Parsons; and one sister, Amy Jones of Elkins.
David was a graduate of Tucker County High School with the Class of 1994. He worked at the former Knotts Exxon, McClain Printing for 18 years and for Kingsford Charcoal Company for 10 years, until his illness in February of 2024. David enjoyed dirt bikes, four wheelers, working on cars, tinkering around the garage and drinking beer. Dave loved going to camp at Limestone, spending time with his Uncle Clark and Aunt Donna, cousin Ben and wife, Jodi, and the rest of the family. He especially enjoyed playing with Finn and he dearly loved his family and his family loved him. He devoted his life and time to Finnegan, even teaching him to ride a bicycle and a motorcycle by the age of four. He was truly dedicated to his family and will be missed tremendously.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons, West Virginia, on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Final rites will be conducted from the funeral home on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 11 a.m.
The Rev. James Snyder will officiate and cremation will follow.
