Mark Bradley Forinash and Donna Wamsley Forinash
Donna Wamsley Forinash and Mark Bradley Forinash, residents of Valley Bend, passed away Friday evening, April 18, 2025, in Pendleton County as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Donna was born Dec. 6, 1952, at Elkins, the daughter of Naomi Kayes Wamsley of Elkins and the late Robert W. Wamsley Sr.
Mark was born April 4, 1950, at Elkins, a son of the late Walter Burt Forinash and Delcia Ann Conrad Forinash.
On Aug. 11, 1972, at Huttonsville, they were united in marriage and had celebrated 52 years of marriage.
Donna is also survived by four sisters, Diana L. Siler of Lexington, Kentucky, Joyce A. Nice of Capon Bridge, West Virginia, and Connie A. Wamsley and Beverly K. Wamsley of Elkins.
They were preceded in death by one daughter, Suzanna Forinash; and one son, William Forinash.
In addition to her father, husband and children, Donna was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert W. Wamsley Jr. and Carl W. Wamsley; and one sister, Patsy R. Hite.
Mark is survived by one sister, Yvette Snooks Forinash.
In addition to his parents, wife and children, Mark was also preceded in death by one sister, Nan Bailey; and two brothers, Will and Walter Forinash.
They are also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mark (Class of 1968 and Donna (Class of 1970) were graduates of Tygarts Valley High School.
Donna attained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education while residing in Hawaii and was retired from the Elkins Mountain School, where she was employed in Quality Control Assurance.
Mark was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam Era, attaining the rank of Captain with 25 years of service. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and H.W. Daniels Post 29 American Legion.
Donna enjoyed cooking, sewing, photography and was known as her family historian enjoying researching the genealogy of her family.
Mark enjoyed playing the guitar and writing music.
They both enjoyed farming and spending time riding their Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Above all else, they loved their families, friends and life itself.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., Friday, April 25, 2025, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.
A joint graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 25, at the Brick Church Cemetery at Huttonsville, West Virginia, with Pastor Frank Hinzman officiating.
Full Military Honors for Mark will be accorded by members of the United States Marine Corps. Interment will follow.
The family request flowers be omitted and contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P. O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516 in memory of Mark and Donna.
