James M. ‘Jamie’ Boehmer

BOEHMER

James M. “Jamie” Boehmer, 52, a resident of Beverly, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025, in the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, West Virginia. He was born Nov. 18, 1972, at Fort Knox, Kentucky, a son of Gladys K. Cook Critchley and the late Gary Morehead.

On July 9, 2005, he was married to Marsha Varner, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Caleb Boehmer of Bartow, West Virginia, and Tyler Boehmer of Beverly; one daughter, Meghan Boehmer and fiance, Marc Dyson, of Maryland; one brother, Shannon Boehmer (Kirsten) of Wilmington, North Carolina; and two sisters, Christine and Lacey Critchley of Elkins.

Also surviving are one half-brother, Zack Morehead of Kentucky; and half-sister, Sara Morehead of Kentucky.

In addition to his father, he is also preceded in death by his grandparents, Easter and James Cook.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from Alderson Broaddus College and worked as a paramedic with the Randolph County and Barbour County Emergency Squads and was a firefighter before becoming disabled.

Jamie’s request for cremation will be honored.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Mount Carmel Baptist Church at Beverly.

Pastor Leon Brown will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Randolph County Humane Society, P. O. Box 785, Elkins, WV 26241 in memory of Jamie.
