Pamela Sue ‘Susie’ Phillips

Ms. Pamela Sue “Susie” Phillips, 63, a resident of Belington, departed this life Sunday morning, April 20, 2025, at her home. Although she had been declining in health, death was unexpected.

She was born Jan. 30, 1962, at Philippi, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Ronald Elliott and Janet Belle Harris Phillips.

She had never married.

Left to cherish her memory are one sister, Ronda Yokum of Springhill, Tennessee; two uncles, Marvin Dale Harris of Belington and Frederick “Butch” Harris of Ohio. Additional survivors include several cousins.

Susie was a graduate from the Philip Barbour High School with the class of 1980. She was a former 911 operator for Barbour County and was currently employed by the Elkins Walmart in Customer Service. She was very well known in the community and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Per Susie’s request, cremation will be honored.

Interment of her cremains will be at a late date in the Valley Bend Cemetery near Belington.
