Robert Lee “Bobby” Hart Jr., 61, a resident of Elkins, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025, in the Davis Medical Center.
He was born April 22, 1964, in Elkins, a son of Martha Hart of Beverly and the late Robert Lee “Bob” Hart Sr.
In addition to his mom, he is also survived by two daughters, Madison and Kennedy Hart, both of Elkins; one brother, Patrick Hart of Beverly; and one sister, Misty Shreve and husband, Todd, of Conway, South Carolina.
Bobby was a graduate of Elkins High School with the Class of 1981 and attended Davis & Elkins College for two years. Following graduation, he worked at Campbell’s Market in Beverly. He retired from the Randolph County Board of Education in 2021 after 38 years of service as the Textbook and Warehouse Coordinator. Following retirement, he has worked part-time at Roy’s RV as their “Detail Shop Manager.” Bobby was Vice President of the Mountain State Street Machines and was a member of Our Town, Inc. He loved dirt track racing and was the crew chief for Chuck Harper, Tim Senic and helped many others throughout his lifetime. In 2015, Bobby inherited Bob’s Christmas Tree Sales from his late father. He was a member of the Nazarene Church and recently attended Mount Carmel Baptist Church.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m., Sunday, April 27, 2025, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.
On Monday, April 28, 2025, Bobby will be moved to the Mount Carmel Baptist Church at Beverly for visitation from 11 a.m. until noon.
A funeral service will be held at noon, from the church, with Pastor Leon Brown officiating.
Interment will follow in the Beverly Cemetery.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Mountain State Street Machines, C/O Our Town, Inc., 116 Second Street, Elkins, WV 26241 in memory of Bobby.
