Sharon L. Fenstermacher

FENSTERMACHER

Sharon L. Fenstermacher, 76, a resident of Elkins, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by family and under the care of Mountain Hospice.

She was born Jan. 15, 1949, at Elkins, a daughter of the late Kenneth E. Moyer and Carrie E. Showalter Moyer.

On March 15, 1968, at Belington, West Virginia, she was married to John D. Fenstermacher, who survives. Also surviving are one son, John K. Fenstermacher and wife, Catherine, of Morgantown, West Virginia; one daughter, Chandra S. Shiflett and husband, Kevin, of Elkins. One brother, William L. Moyer and wife, Stella Faye, of Elkins; three grandchildren, Baylee E. Shiflett and fiance, Steven “D.J.” Mallow Jr. and Jakob L.R. Shiflett and girlfriend, Elizabeth Hurst, Maddie Jo Fenstermacher and boyfriend, Logan Hunt; step-grandchildren, Jeff and Alisa Carter, Curt and Katelyn Triplett and Austin Carter; great-grandchild, Haiden Hunt; step great-grandchildren, Sophie, Scarlett and Suri Carter and Carter, Rylee and Kayden Triplett; special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ellen and Herman Carter, sister-in-law, Sheila Moyer; several nieces and nephews and her four-legged companion. Bo Bo. also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert L. Moyer.

Sharon was a graduate of Elkins High School with the class of 1967 and was a homemaker.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2025, at the Hilliard-Corley Cemetery near Junior, West Virginia. Interment will follow.

The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Sharon L. Fenstermacher.
