Cheryll Ann Deaner

She was born on Dec. 15, 1939, a daughter of the late Robert Ellsworth and Laura Oleta (Blosser) Deaner.

Left to cherish her memory is one daughter, Laura Shelton and husband, Eric, of Belington; and two sisters, Tyrannas McDonald and Roberta McNemar, both of Belington; and three grandchildren, Ashley Watson and husband, Tom, Tyler Shelton and partner, Samantha, and Joe Corley and wife, Amanda.

Also surviving are three great-grandchildren, Olivia Watson, Michael Corely and Jenna Corley.

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Harvey L. Corley; and her son, Keith Michael Corley.

Cheryll was a graduate of the Morgantown High School with the class of 1957. She was employed by the Randolph County Board of Education as an executive secretary of the superintendents. She also attended and was a member of the Horizons Church in Junior, West Virginia.

Cheryll loved doing crafts together with her sisters and she always volunteered to lend a helping hand to many people in the community. She enjoyed taking care of her home and her K-9 companion, Punkin. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Per Cheryll’s request, cremation will be honored.

A graveside service was held at the Maplewood Cemetery in Elkins on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, with the Pastor Johnny Williams officiating.
