Dayton Junior ‘June’ Mallow

MALLOW
Dayton Junior ‘June’ Mallow, 77, a resident of Elkins, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025, in the Emergency Department of the Davis Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 21, 1948, at Harman, a son of the late Dayton Mallow and Eva Hedrick Mallow.
On Nov. 3, 1969, at Elkins, he was married to Sandra Lee Palmer, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Steven D. Mallow and wife, Chris, of Elkins; one daughter, Angela Arbogast and husband, Jerry J. Arbogast Jr., of Elkins; three brothers, Hurman Mallow, Paul Mallow and Jackie “Jack” Mallow of Elkins; and three sisters, Evajean Rhodes of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, Patty Jo Channels of Elkins and Rosanna Everhart of Montrose; seven grandchildren, Kelby Joe Arbogast and wife, Morgan, of Morgantown, West Virginia, Lindsey Arbogast and husband, Craig, of Valley Bend, Shelby Metz and husband, Mark, of Beverly, DJ Mallow and fiance, Baylee Shiflett, and David, Emma and Brooklyn Arbogast; two step-grandchildren, Ashley Workman-Hedrick and Brandon Workman; and nine great-grandchildren, Caden, Bentley, Xandria and Bry’Anna Arbogast, CJ, Reagan and Leah Arbogast, Elli and Kinlee Glenn. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers, William “Buck” and Delmas Mallow; and eight sisters, Ruthlene Rhodes, Marsie Mallow, Emma Phillips, Dolly Nelson, Marie “Nip” Poling, Barbara and Rheba Mallow and Gladys Gordon; and one step-grandson, Garrett Workman.
June retired from Poe Run Logging and was a member of the Elkins First Church of the Nazarene.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Monday, May 5, 2025, at the Elkins First Church of the Nazarene at Gilman.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, from the church, with Pastor Daniel Rogers officiating.
Interment will follow at the Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Gilman.
