Kenneth Terry ‘Bad Luck’ Pritt
								PRITT
Kenneth Terry “Bad Luck” Pritt, 73, a lifelong resident of Beverly, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving family he cared so much for, following a four-year battle with cancer.
He was born Feb. 7, 1952, in Elkins a son of the late Donald and Bessie Pritt.
On Oct. 11, 2017, in Elkins, he married Judy Herron, who survives at Beverly.
Also surviving is one daughter, Amy Reed and husband, Phil, of Beverly; one son, Kevin Pritt and wife, Brenda, of Elkins; three step-sons, Russell Herron and wife, Joan, of Elkins, Brad Curtis and wife, Bobbie, of Elkins, and Rodney Herron and wife, Jeana, of Clarksville, Tennessee.
Four grandchildren, Braxden, Beckett and Briggs Pritt and Morgan Butcher; six step-grandchildren, Jessica Lindsay, Cassie Herron, Marica McCord, Kayla Howell, Mariah Waybright and Brandon Herron; nine step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Donald Richard “Dick” Pritt and Dennis James “Jim” Pritt, both of Beverly; and one sister, Erma Wright, of Manassas, Virginia, also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Lawson and Sharon Simmons.
“Bad Luck” attended the schools of Randolph County and served in the United States Army. He was a truck driver for Woodford Oil Company for 41 years, having been listed as driving over 5.3 million miles prior to his retirement in 2020. He proudly served several terms as a Councilman for his hometown of Beverly. He was the kindest and most loving man in the world. He was always quick to make you laugh and never met a stranger.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 7, from the funeral home chapel.
Rev. Leon Brown will officiate and interment will follow in the Beverly Cemetery.
