Thelma Jean Gainer

Thelma Jean Gainer, 97, a resident of Elkins, passed away Friday, April 25, 2025, in Valentine Assisted Living in Elkins under the care of WV Caring Hospice.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m.Saturday, from the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Tim Edin and Pastor Cindy Roberts officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Gilman.

The family request memorial contributions be made to the Joy Circle, Otterbein United Methodist Church, 1100 S. Davis Ave., Elkins, WV 26241 in memory of Thelma.

The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Thelma Jean Gainer.
