Clifford Leo Wilmoth

Mr. Clifford Leo Wilmoth, 82, a resident of Belington, departed this life Friday morning June 27, 2025, at his home. Death was following a period of failing health.
He was born June 7, 1943, at Belington, a son of the late Roy Edward and Beulah Pauline Zirkle Wilmoth.
In 1965, he was united in marriage to the former Dixie Lee Booth, who preceded him in death on Aug. 31, 2013.
He is survived by one granddaughter, Cameo Jade Metheny of Buckhannon; two brothers, Larry Wilmoth and wife, Sandy, of Belington, and Paul Wilmoth and wife, Patty, of Shepherdstown, West Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Anita Sue Wilmoth; one brother, Carl L. Wilmoth; and two sisters, Violet Lawerence and Glenda Ware.
Mr. Wilmoth was a 1961 graduate of Belington High School and was a Protestant by faith. He was an avid farmer, and an extremely hard worker. His working career was mostly in the strip-mining industry, lastly being employed by the Rob Lee Coal Company.
Mr. Wilmoth’s request for cremation was honored.
There will be a celebration of life for him and his daughter Anita, who passed earlier this year, at the Wilmoth Farm on Werner Road in Belington at 6 p.m., Friday July 25, 2025.
Friends and family are welcome to attend.
