C. Morgan Haymond

He was born Oct. 22, 1956, at Buckhannon, West Virginia, a son of the late John Gilbert Haymond and the late Zela Maye Morris Haymond. On Aug. 17, 1985, in Buckhannon, he was married to the former Debra Kay Channell, who survives in Elkins.

Also surviving is one daughter, Andrea Morgan Green of Christiansburg, Virginia; three brothers, John Haymond of Buckhannon and wife. Penny, Timothy Haymond, of Mt. Jackson, Virginia, and partner, Kelly, and Marshell Haymond of Rock Cave, West Virginia, and wife, Elizabeth. Two grandsons, Theodore “Theo” Parker and Dominic Morgan Green also survive.

Morgan attended the schools of Upshur County, Glenville State, West Virginia Wesleyan, and Davis & Elkins College. He was employed in the Oil and Gas Industry for many years.

Morgan was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and a trustee of the Elkins-Randolph County Public Library Board as well as a long serving Library Board Member. He was also a longtime member of the American Association of Professional Landmen.

Cremation will take place and services will be announced at a later date.
