Mrs. Lillie Mae Crawford, 95 years young, a resident of Elkins, West Virginia, passed away Tuesday morning, July 29, 2025, at Mountain Memories Assisted Living in Elkins.

he was born Sept. 8, 1929, at Valley Head, West Virginia, a daughter to the late Coy and Genvieve Wyatt.

On July 1, 1960, at Winchester, Virginia, she married Jasper Burton Crawford, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Gary Beal of Beverly, West Virginia, and Jill Krug of Falls Church, Virginia, and Dennis Crawford and wife, Kelly, of Elkins; three grandchildren, DJ Crawford, Daniel Crawford and, Kali, Rachel Crawford and Jacob; one great-grand puppy, Maverick; and one sister, Betty Channell of Charles Town, West Virginia. Lillie had many nieces and nephews, many close friends whom she loved dearly.

Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Kathaleen Ward of Elkins and Plina Coughlin of Weston.

She was a loving wife, mother, aunt and grandma who loved her grandchildren very much. She was a member of the Woodford United Methodist Church in Elkins. She was salutatorian of the graduating class of 1947 at Tygart Valley High School. She was a graduate of West Virginia Business College.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 1, 2025, from the funeral home chapel.

Rev. Bill Calhoun will officiate.

Interment will follow in Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman.

Memorial contributions may be made to Woodford United Methodist Church, 113 First Street, Elkins, WV 26241 in memory of Mrs. Crawford.
