Paul David Carver Sr.

CARVER

Paul David Carver Sr., 79, closed his eyes to the physical world and entered into his Heavenly Father’s presence on Monday, June 23, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.

It was a year ago that Paul and Nancy moved to Hardy County to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Until then, he had been a lifelong resident of Randolph County, even though he was born Sunday, Dec. 30, 1945, in Dartmoor to George Carver Jr. and Edna Mae Tusing Carver.

Paul attended the schools of Randolph County and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served honorably for three years. His favorite place of deployment was the great state of Alaska and had always hoped to return there for a visit.

During March of 1966, he married Nancy F. Rosier Carver. They had celebrated 59 years of marriage. Over the course of their marriage, they had three children, Melody Ann Parker and husband, Junior, Paul David Carver Jr. and wife, Michelle, and Patti Hines and Rick Jr., all of Moorefield. The three children produced seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Paul had worked for Concast Metal in Dailey, where he made many friends. Following his employment with Concast, he became the Humane Officer for Randolph County, where he served for many years.

In 1983, Paul gave his life to Christ and dedicated his life to the service of Christ and his community from that time on.

Paul was the last surviving member of his immediate family having been preceded in death by his parents and his siblings. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Preston Lane Burrows; and a great-grandson, Drake Andrew Carver.

Paul’s request for cremation was honored with no services to follow.

The Randolph Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for Paul David Carver Sr.
