Deloris Ann Kirkpatrick Guire

Deloris Ann Kirkpatrick Guire, 71, a resident of Mabie, passed from this life Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025, at home surrounded by family and under the care of Mountain Hospice.

Deloris was born Friday, May 7, 1954, in Richmond, Virginia, a daughter of the late Raymond Glen Kirkpatrick and Madeline Harper Kirkpatrick.

On Jan. 5, 1973, in St. Patrick’s Church in Coalton, she was united in marriage to Thomas J. Guire II, who survives at home. They celebrated 52 years of marriage. Many people commented that their love seemed magical; like a fairy tale.

Also left to cherish her memory are two children, Christy Jackson and husband, Mike, and Thomas “Tommy” Guire and wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Gabriel Guire and wife, Neisha, Thomas “TJ” Guire, Lilly Bradberry, Olivia Guire, Christopher Bradberry, Gracie Holley, Jimmy Cummins, Liam Jackson and MacKenzie Guire; great-granddaughter, Nylah Ann Guire; siblings, Jeff Kirkpatrick and wife, Elaine, Donna Haddix and husband, Dwight; and a special fur baby, Jack.

Preceding her in death besides her parents was one daughter, Michelle L. Cummins; and one brother, Glen Allen “Zyke” Kirkpatrick; and sister-in-law, Linda Kirkpatrick.

Deloris was a graduate of Elkins High School. She had been employed at Walmart for many years and then at Camden Creek for several years.

Deloris enjoyed crafting and cooking. Above all, she loved time with her husband, kids, and grandchildren, her grandkids were her world.

Deloris is Catholic by faith and a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Coalton.

Deloris’ request for cremation was honored and interment will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery in Kingsville.
