Harold Lee Canfield

CANFIELD

Harold Lee Canfield, 68, a resident of Norton, passed away Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025 at his home. He was in his usual health and death was unexpected.

He was born Aug. 25, 1957, at Montrose, a son of Wanda J. Kisner Canfield of Montrose and the late William Canfield.

On Sept. 24, 1988, he was married to Vicki Lynn Pingley, who preceded him in death Oct. 12, 2024. He is survived by one son, Ryan Canfield and wife, Taylor, of Norton; one brother, Gary Canfield (Annette) of Valley Bend; two sisters, Nancy Sharp (Lonnie) of Montrose and Cathy Williams of Derby, Kansas; and one brother-in-law, Bill Pingley (Shirley) of Youngstown, Ohio. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Also preceding him in death was one brother-in-law, Paul Williams.

Harold was a graduate of Elkins High School with the class of 1977. He was employed as a truck driver for RSP Trucking at the time of his death. He loved to hunt and camp with his wife, Vicki, and being outdoors. He loved watching his son Ryan racing four-wheelers and loved shifting gears and driving trucks.

Friends may call from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, from the funeral home chapel. Pastor John Welch will officiate; interment will follow at Phillips Cemetery at Jimtown.
