Nola Elaine Edmond

EDMOND
Nola Elaine Edmond, 73 years, a resident of Elkins, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2025 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, West Virginia. She was born Oct. 6, 1951, in Fairmont, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Hersel Stone and Mary Louise Brumage Stone.
She is survived by one daughter, Ashley Stephens of Elkins; one son, Austen Edmond of Florida; and one brother, Hersel Stone and wife, Patty, of Elkins; and half-brother, William Hartman and wife, Mary Lou; and half-sister, Sandy Hartman, all of North Carolina.
Also surviving are her best friends, Annette and Mike Jordan; and her dog, Max.
Nola was a graduate of Elkins High School, Davis & Elkins College and the University of Phoenix. She received a Master’s Degree in Special Education. She was a substitute teacher for the Randolph County Schools and had received the American Who’s Who in Teaching Award. She was a member of the Elkins Lion’s Club and the First Church of the Nazarene. Nola loved to read.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.
Nola’s request for cremation will then be honored.
