Sharon Jean Pingley

PINGLEY
Sharon Jean Pingley, 77, of Williamstown, West Virginia, passed away September 8, 2025 at her residence, after a short and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Sharon was born July 4, 1948 in Webster Springs, West Virginia, to Franklin and Freda Loane.
She married James “Jim” Pingley on Oct. 5, 1980. Together they would have celebrated 45 years of marriage this year.
Sharon was self employed at Snowshoe, West Virginia, where she was in charge of the housekeeping.
She truly had a spark of her own, and her family describes her as “Gold, Glitter and Fun.” Sharon’s big heart and love for life shone through in everything she did. She never met a stranger, and to know her was to love her. Always ready to help, she would give you the shirt off her back, and her kindness touched everyone she met.
She loved decorating for every holiday, bringing joy and warmth to her home and to those around her. Sharon also had a special love for getting her hair and nails done — her glittery, shiny nails were her signature, and friends and family always admired how adorable and stylish she looked.
Family was Sharon’s greatest treasure. She loved with her whole heart and gave endlessly to those she cared for. She and Jim were true soulmates — you rarely saw one without the other. Their love story was an inspiration to all who knew them.
Sharon’s presence brought joy, laughter, and light to every room. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.
Sharon will be missed by her husband; children, Brenda (Kyle) Gregory, Jamie (Denise) Pingley, Joe (Gretchen) Pingley, Eddie Hamrick, Todd (Natasha) Pingley and Kim (Randy) Hamrick; 19 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Jimmy and Donnie; and her sister, Karen.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jackie and Johnny; her sister, Judy; and her beloved dog, Missy.
Friends may call Friday, Sept. 12, 2025, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Eastlawn Chapel, Marietta.
Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m., from the funeral home, with Joe Pingley officiating.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Cawley and staff and Amedisys for the care and comfort.
