Cory Lee Bellomy Taylor, 33, a resident of Elkins, West Virginia, departed this life Thursday morning, Oct. 9, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Mountain Hospice. He had been in declining health.
He was born Sunday, Feb. 2, 1992, at Mansfield, Ohio, a son of Eric Francis Bellomy Sr. of Shelby, Ohio, and Donna Lynn Ankney Williams of Elkins.
Also surviving are two sons, Bryson Lee Taylor of Buckhannon and Levi Fauber of Elkins; one brother, Eric Bellomy Jr. and companion, Andrea Woodford, of Elkins; two sisters, Cyndi Marie Carter and husband, Dillon, and Alician Bellomy, all of Fredericktown, Ohio; maternal grandmother, Judy Fletcher Ankney of Elkins; girlfriend, Kimberly Rachelle Nicholson of Elkins; the mother of his child, Francesca Maria Johnson of Buckhannon; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his maternal grandfather, Clayton Lee Ankney Sr. on Feb. 13, 2024.
He attended the schools of Upshur County, West Virginia, and had worked at Greenfield Industries at Elkins. He enjoyed play station, the outdoors and spending time with his boys. Cory will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025.
Cory’s request for cremation will then be honored.
