Daisy Mae (White) Arbogast

Daisy Mae (White) Arbogast, 87, of Elkins, West Virginia, departed this life on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025, at her home.
She was born on May 30, 1938, in Ellamore, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Ottis and Wilma (Mullenax) White.
On December 5, 1955, Daisy married the love of her life, Earl Arbogast, who preceded her in death on Feb. 14, 2012.
Daisy attended Circleville High School and later obtained her GED and then acquired her Bachelor’s Degree from Glenville State College. She retired from Appalachian Mental Health, serving Randolph and Pendleton counties, after 35 years of service. Daisy took pride in her family and enjoyed applying her skills in her life on the farm, especially sewing and canning. She loved her children and grandchildren and rewarded others with her love, by serving as a foster grandparent.
Daisy leaves behind to cherish her memory two daughters, Cathy Lynn Arbogast of Elkins, West Virginia, and Karen Denise Hammond of Elkins, West Virginia; a son, Douglas Earl Arbogast (Mary) of Fredericksburg, Virginia; two sisters, Alice Moyers of Bartow, West Virginia, and Lois Alt of Old Fields, West Virginia; a brother, Arnold White of Sugar Grove, West Virginia; five grandchildren, Brian, Brett, Nicholas, Braden and Allysun; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Alfred Lemual; a granddaughter, Brooke; five brothers; and one sister.
Daisy’s family will receive friends on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, West Virginia.
Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m., from the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Anita Tracy officiating.
Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Franklin, West Virginia.
