Dr. Thomas Morris Pitsenberger

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Dr. Thomas Morris Pitsenberger, aged 85, who left us peacefully on Oct. 22, 2025. Tom had fought a valiant and lengthy battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family at his home in Conway, South Carolina.
Born on Dec. 21, 1939, in Phillipi, West Virginia, Tom was the son of the late Isaac and Ada (Morris) Pitsenberger of Belington, West Virginia.
Tom is survived by his wife of 33 years, Donna E. Williams, of Conway, South Carolina; two children, James J. Pitsenberger of Bozeman Montana, and Ashley A. Harper (Matthew) of Seneca Rocks, West Virginia; two stepchildren, Angela M. Fry (Russell) and Travis C. Bennett (Jamie) of Valley Bend, West Virginia; and five grandchildren whom he considered his greatest achievements, Cali A. Huffman (Braydan), Cali graduated from West Virginia School of Nursing at Potomac State and resides in Alpena, West Virginia; Cpl. Cole M. Harper, United States Marine Corp.; Anna M. Tingler attending Medical University of South Carolina at Charleston, South Carolina (PhD program); Gunnar T. Bennett, attending Full Sail University, residing in Valley Bend, West Virginia, and Jillian S. Bennett attending West Virginia University at Morgantown, West Virginia. Tom also leaves behind a special loved one, Diane Brown of Elkins, West Virginia, and countless friends who will cherish his memory forever.
Tom graduated from Belington High School in 1956 and West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 1963. He was a Captain in the United States Army. Tom spent his career as a beloved Dentist and Businessman and was known for his kindness, caring, and unwavering support for family and friends. Tom was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 603, and a lifelong member of the Masons Lodge 125, and the American Legion Post 0029. He touched the lives of many throughout his career and community involvement.
Tom will be deeply missed, but his spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him so much.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Talbott Funeral Home in Belington, West Virginia. The family would also like to give special thanks to Lewis Funeral Home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
