Edward Howard Calain

Ed was born Friday, July 16, 1954, in Elkins, a son of the late Katherine Jones Calain.

Left to cherish Ed’s memory is his daughter, Kim Bonnett and husband, Brian; two grandchildren, Connor and Declan Bonnett; and the mother of his children, Jacki Calain-Plum.

Besides his mother, Ed was preceded in death by his son, David Calain.

Ed was a graduate of Elkins High School and had retired from the Randolph County Board of Education as the Maintenance Director. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Ed’s request for cremation was honored.

A celebration of his life will be held at Randolph Funeral Home on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The family has requested that contributions be made in Ed’s memory to the Back Pack Program at First United Methodist Church, 315 Kerens Avenue, Elkins, WV 26241.

The Randolph Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for Edward Howard Calain.
