On July 3, 1955, she was married to Ronadl P. Flasher Sr., who preceded her in death on April 30, 2009.
Left to cherish Margaret’s memory are three children, Rhonda Cooper, Ronadl Flasher Jr. and companion, Susan Hubbard, and April Slavik; nine grandchildren, Kelly Cerlon and husband, Chris, Daniel Bower, Andrew Bower and wife, Katie, Megan Marcum, Nicholas Flasher and wife, Jennifer, Dustin Flasher, Tiffany Flasher, Joey Slavik and wife, Lathesha, and Jack Slavik and companion, Brittney; 10 great-grandchildren, Kyle, Jacob, Ryan, Alexis, Aaron, Zsofi, Enzo, Lamier, London and Camille; three half-brothers, Glenn, Jeffrey and Francis; one half-sister, Tamera; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Margaret in death besides her parents and husband was one grandson, Trevor Marcum.
Margaret was raised mainly in Whitmer on Back Street by her great grandparents, Sarah Ann Elza and Nicholas Elza, due to her mother passing 15 days after Margaret was born. Margaret struggled from the beginning as she was born very small in weight and had to be kept very close to the woodstove to keep warm. Her uncle would run home from school to check on her until the day she opened her, and he told his mom, “I think she is going to make it!”
She went on to attend school in Harman until she was married at a young age.
Margaret worked hard her whole life at various jobs until her retirement. She enjoyed Christmas and made us promise to be with her at home. Always a pleasant and peaceful person, she enjoyed company and helping anyone she could. She loved her family and friends deeply and will be missed by those who knew her. She was a Baptist by faith.
Visitation will be held at Randolph Funeral Home on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025, from 1 until 2 p.m., the funeral hour. Following the service, Margaret’s request for cremation will be honored with the interment of her cremated her remains in the White Cemetery in Job.
The Randolph Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for Margaret Yvonne Thomas Flasher.
