Rose Mary Nelson (Rosa)

NELSON
Rose Mary Nelson (Rosa) passed away from natural causes on the evening of Oct. 6 at the age of 88 at the beginning of her favorite season, autumn.
She was born on Jan. 30, 1937, in the mountains of West Virginia in Mill Creek, and was the daughter of John Currence, a lumberjack, and Gladys Currence, a homemaker.
She was the youngest of six children.
She grew up most of her life in or near Elkins, West Virginia, where she was known as Rosa and was a student on the honor roll from grade school through high school. Rose Mary loved autumn like no other season and never missed an opportunity to decorate her home with all the beautiful country crafts she would make. She was employed at the Hoover company for more than 20 years.
The things she most loved were her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her three sons, Jeff (Beth), Doug (Jeanette) and Steve (Andrea); nine grandchildren, Sean, Joshua (Natalia), Jeremy, Aaron (Brandie) Jenny (Luke), Jason, Alex, Blake and Connor; and four great-grandchildren, Liydea, Oliver, Eliott and Natily.
