Donna Elaine Tacy Lemons, 77, a resident of the Becky’s Creek Community, Huttonsville, West Virginia, departed this life Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025, at the Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown, West Virginia. Death was unexpected.
She was born Saturday, Jan. 24, 1948, at Elkins, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Pete Edwin Tacy and Evelyn Lorena Pingley Tacy.
Surviving are one daughter, Jaina Laine Cahill and husband, Aaron, of Huttonsville; one brother, Pete E. Tacy II of Huttonsville; and two grandsons, Elijah Edwin Cahill and Nolan Matthew Cahill.
Preceding her in death is her sister-in-law, Anita Tacy.
She was a graduate of Tygarts Valley High School with the Class of 1965. She is a Christian by faith. She was a former employee of the Colonial Northwest at Dailey and retired from the West Virginia Children’s Home. Her hobbies included working, gardening and farming. She loved her grandchildren very very much.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins on Sunday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Final Rites will be conducted from the funeral home on Monday, Nov.17, 2025, at 11 a.m.
Rev. Randy Long will officiate and interment will follow at the Brick Church Cemetery at Huttonsville, West Virginia.
