Elizabeth Mae Carr Harper

Elizabeth Mae Carr Harper, 70, a resident of Alpena, West Virginia, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, in the Davis Medical Center.

Elizabeth was married to Robert Lee Harper of Alpena, West Virginia.

She is also survived by one son, Thomas “Tom” Harper of Alpena.

She was a grandmother to two granddaughters, Brittany Harper and companion, Charles “Chuck” Snyder, of Elkins, and Holly Harper and companion, Kris, of North Carolina.

She was also a great-grandmother to Justin Snyder and a grandchild which is on the way.

One brother, Leslie Carr, and wife, Rhonda, of Elkins; and a niece, Tiffany Belt and her husband, Tyler, of Elkins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Carr and Cora Carr. As well as one sister, Cora Lee Carr; one brother, Sonny Carr; and two sons, Robert and Jeffery Harper.

Elizabeth worked as an aide at Nella’s Nursing Home and had dedicated much of her life to taking care of the Harper family which included her mother and father-in-law.

She was a member of the Job Church of God. Elizabeth truly loved her family, and she will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until noon, Monday, Nov. 17, 2025, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.

A funeral service will be held at noon on Monday, from the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Todd Rhodes officiating.

Interment will follow at the Jacob C. Harper Cemetery near Harman, West Virginia.

The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Elizabeth Mae Carr Harper.
