Terry Ann Skidmore Flerx

She was born Tuesday, Aug. 25, 1959, at Elkins, West Virginia, a daughter of Thomas Russell Skidmore, who survives at Glenmore, and the late Betty Joann Dawson Skidmore.

On May 9, 1981, at Northeast Maryland, she was married to Robert C. Flerx, who survives. They had celebrated 44 years of marriage.

Also surviving are one son, Robert “Bobby” Thomas Flerx and fiance, Dominique Makayla Gates, of Elkins; one daughter, Kathleen “Katie” Joann Flerx of Elkins; one brother, Tommy Skidmore Jr. and wife, Wanda, of Snowshoe; two sisters, Evelyn Kay Brand and husband, John, of Maryland and Annette Lynn McCall and husband, Larry, of Valley Head; one granddaughter, Brielle Ivy White; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are one brother Bradley Russell Skidmore; and her paternal grandmother who she loved dearly, Phyllis Skidmore.

Terry attended the schools of Valley Head and Elkins High School, before attending William Penn High School in New Castle, Delaware. She had worked at the Dunkin Donuts in Delaware, where she met her husband, Robert, and had also worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Delaware.

Terry enjoyed knitting and was a very caring and giving lady with a huge heart. She loved her family immensely and adored her granddaughter.

Terry’s request for cremation was honored.
