Crystal Dawn McBee Phillips, 45, a former resident of Elkins and more recently, a resident of the Sugarlands Community in Tucker County, passed from this life, Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026, at her home. She had been in failing health over the past year; however, death was unexpected.
Crystal was born on Wednesday, June 25, 1980, in Oklahoma, a daughter of the late Karen Elaine Underwood.
On Jan. 9, 1999, in Elkins, she was married to Damon Phillips, who survives. They had celebrated 27 years of marriage.
Also left to cherish Crystal’s memory are two amazing kids, Noah Phillips and fiance, Thea Salisbury, and Natalie Williamson; one grandson, Preston, whom she dearly loved; a brother, Joshua McBee; two sisters, Mary Hensley and Toni McBee; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Crystal in death was an infant son; her mother, Karen; and her grandmother, Mary Underwood.
Crystal was a veteran of the Army National Guard. She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and a good friend to many who got to know her. Her family and especially her grandson were the most important things in her life, and they will all miss her.
Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home on Friday, Jan. 30, 2026, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., the funeral hour.
Pastor Tristan Tenney will officiate. Members of HW Daniels Post 29, American Legion and the WV Honor Guard will conduct full military honors.
Crystal’s request for cremation will then be honored.
