Diana Rose Burris

She was born Wednesday, Feb. 18, 1959, at Baltimore, Maryland, a daughter of the late Arch Wilbur “Junior” Amie Jr. and Rose Luella Cale Amie of Parsons.

On June 11, 1977, at the Sycamore Grove Church in St. George, West Virginia, she was married to James Stanley Burris Sr., who survives.

Also surviving are one son, James “Jim” Stanley Jr. and wife, Mei, of Wisconsin; one daughter, Lisa Lynn Dumire and husband, Jay, of Eglon; one brother, Arch Wilbur Amie III and wife, Amy, of Licking Creek; one sister, Janet Kay Revel of Pittsville, Maryland; three grandchildren, Makai, Cody and Sara; and great-grandson, Jaxson.

She attended the schools at Baltimore and was a graduate of Parsons High School with the class of 1977.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed hunting and watching her birds.

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons, West Virginia, on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Final rites will be conducted from the funeral home on Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, at 1 p.m.

Rev. Lowell Moore will officiate and interment will follow at Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman, West Virginia.
