Muriel Krivacs Nollenberger, 91, a resident of Elkins, fell asleep in death Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at home surrounded by family and under the care of Mountain Hospice.
Muriel was born Saturday, Jan. 5, 1935, in New York, New York, a daughter of the late Louis Krivacs and Helen Huettner Krivacs. On Oct. 30, 1954, she was married to Frederick "Fred" George Welles Nollenberger, who preceded her in death on May 18, 2019. They had celebrated 65 years of marriage.
Left to cherish her memory are four children, Susan Nollenberger Taylor and husband, Owen, of Elkins, Steve Nollenberger and wife, Jenny, of Winter Park, Florida, Scott Nollenberger and wife, Rose, of Tannersville, Pennsylvania, and David Nollenberger of Elkins; six grandchildren, Christopher Taylor and wife, Nicolette, of Fairmont, Stephanie Taylor Flores and husband, CJ, of Eleanor, Philip Taylor and wife, Jade, of St. Albans, Cody Nollenberger of Tannersville, Pennsylvania Jeven and Ella Nollenberger of Winter Park, Florida; and two great-grandchildren, Abigail and Caleb Flores.
Muriel's request for cremation was honored.
